How Do I Take Care Of My New Dental Crown Or Bridge?
Your new dental crown/bridge will need to be taken care of just as you would your natural teeth. This means you will need to brush and floss twice daily in the area, your dentist will demonstrate how to do this following your treatment.
We advise that you avoid eating any hard foods in the area of the new Dental Crown or Bridge for 24 hours immediately after placement. The cement used to bond the dental crown/bridge continues to set and mature for approximately 24 hours to achieve optimum strength.
If you experience mild sensitivity to hot or cold foods do not be concerned. The sensations will improve gradually over the next 4 – 6 weeks.

The Drawbacks Of Dentures And Bridges

Dentures can be inserted during the day to support your missing teeth and the gums which surround it. However, they must be taken out at night and cleaned regularly, or else further complications might develop, such as cavities, stomatitis and infection. A traditional bridge replaces a missing tooth by using support from its two neighbouring teeth.
