Dr Rathnayake Priyanthi Rathnayake graduated in 2006 from Sri Lanka and commenced working as a general practitioner in 2008. She also has experience of working as a temporary Lecturer in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. During her internship, she worked in General Medicine, Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
Apart from general practice, Priyanthi has experience of 5 years in Anaesthesia and undertook special training at Teaching hospital Peradeniya in Oral maxilla-Facial Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Unit. She started working in Central Queensland in 2016 after relocating to Australia.
Dr Rathnayake is a highly skilled doctor in Pakenham who enjoys working in all areas of general practice. She gained invaluable experience while working at Rockhampton Hospital in various medical specialities, including Geriatrics, Rehabilitation Medicine, Orthopaedics, Emergency Medicine, Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
Priyanthi commenced her professional career in Australia as a GP in early 2018. She is particularly interested in Paediatrics, geriatrics, Chronic Diseases and Women’s Health.

- 2016 – Australian Medical Council Part 1 exam.
- 2017 – Australian Medical Council Part 2 exam and AHPRA general registration.
- 2020 – Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and AHPRA specialised registration.
